Loren H. Cohen graduated from the University
of Florida Law School in 1980 with honors. During law
school, he was a finalist in the University of Florida
Moot Court Cup Competition. He received his B.A. degree
from the University of Florida in 1977. Following law
school, Mr. Cohen worked for Max B. Kogan, P.A., a pre-eminent
trial lawyer. In 1986, Mr. Cohen expanded his practice
into commercial litigation at Castro, Ramirez and Netsch,
P.A. In 1988, he joined this firm.
Mr. Cohen has appeared as a guest
panelist on numerous television programs dealing with
legal issues. Mr. Cohen’s areas of trial and appellate
practice include commercial litigation, libel and slander,
insurance coverage, ERISA, legal malpractice, tort litigation,
litigation under 42 USC sec. 1983, insurance coverage
matters, and SEC and regulatory enforcement matters.
Mr. Cohen is a “Big Brother”
in the Big Brothers/Big Sisters Program. He is admitted
to practice in Florida, the United States District Court
for the Southern District of Florida, United States
Supreme Court; and the United States Courts of Appeal
for the Fourth, Fifth and Eleventh Circuits.
