Elana B. Goodman graduated cum laude from the University of Miami School of Law in 1998, where she was inducted into the Phi Delta Phi Legal Honor Society and received honors in Litigation Skills. Ms. Goodman graduated cum laude from the University of Pennsylvania in 1995 and received honors in her major, Communications.
Since joining the firm in 1998, Ms. Goodman has participated in a number of jury trials through final verdict. Ms Goodman has tried cases involving complex liability issues and catastrophic personal injuries and death. In particular, she defended a national hotel chain in a trial involving an assault on the hotel property which resulted in a defense verdict. She was also successful in obtaining a defense verdict for a national pizza delivery chain in an automobile negligence trial. Ms. Goodman represented a national food chain at an EEOC appeals hearing, which resulted in a dismissal of the claim of discrimination. In addition to her substantial trial experience, Ms. Goodman has significant experience in alternative dispute resolution, as she regularly represents clients in mediation and arbitration proceedings.
Ms. Goodman practices primarily in the areas of premises liability, automobile negligence, product liability, Worker’s Compensation and family law. She is admitted in the State of Florida and the Southern District of Florida.
