ERIC COLBURN SAGE After attending
Fordham School of Law in New York, Mr. Sage came south
and graduated from Nova School of Law in 1991. Mr.
Sage was a member of Law Review, winner of the Krupnick & Campbell
Award for Trial Excellence, winner of the Florida Bar
Trial Lawyers Section Award, winner of Book Awards
in both Trial Advocacy and Alternative Dispute Resolution
and upon graduation was selected to be a National Member
of The Order of Barristers for excellence and high
honor in the art of courtroom advocacy. From 1991 to
1993, Mr. Sage was a felony prosecutor for the Miami-Dade
State Attorneys Office, where he tried in excess of
thirty trials as first chair. Mr. Sage decided to enter
civil private practice when then State Attorney Janet
Reno was sworn in as Attorney General for the Clinton
Administration in 1993.
Mr. Sage joined the firm of Womack & Bass, P.A.,
in 1993, where he was responsible for all aspects of
high-value personal injury cases on behalf of both
plaintiffs and defendants, from pre-suit to mediation
and trial. He was asked to join the firm as partner
in 2001 by founder Victor H. Womack and thereafter
handled medical malpractice, catastrophic loss, wrongful
death, product liability, and nursing home neglect
cases.
Mr. Sage is resident in our Weston office, where
he is part of the insurance and tort defense team.
He focuses his practice on tort cases including products
liability, construction, medical liability, defense of nursing home claimes and other
large loss claims.
