EMMA BETITO AFRIAT graduated cum laude from the University of Miami where she double majored in Legal Studies and Business Management. While in college, Emma founded the Maimonides Jewish Program and remained President of the program until she began law school. In 2019, Emma graduated from the University of Miami School of Law. While in law school, Emma obtained Dean’s List Awards, held the position of President of the Cardozo Jewish Legal Society, and was a member of the Federal Appellate Clinic, while carrying a substantial work load as a law clerk.
Emma joined the firm in 2019 and has worked in the firm’s Weston office. She has been involved in the defense of complex litigation matters, including catastrophic injury, traumatic brain injury and wrongful death. Emma’s practice includes the representation of clients in federal court, and Emma has successfully removed cases to federal court where this forum is sought by the client. Emma has also been involved in commercial litigation matters.
